My experience is that the nurses were the most caring and understanding of all the hospital staff. They were also more candid about the ongoing controversies concerning treatments, vaccinations and drugs. The doctors all kept to the government protocols, probably due to fear of losing their jobs. In fact, my primary care doctor lost his for prescribing Ivermectin.
Most of the nurses agreed that the vaccinations had little effect on the severity of the disease. In fact they felt like the more people were vaccinated, the more people caught the disease. I caught it at the height of the vaccinations. A contributing factor was I travelled to a different part of the country where my antibodies may not have been effect against that version of the disease. I was never vaccinated and am still not.
The physical therapists who assisted in my recovery were also some of the most outstanding folks on the team. Always happy and cheerful, and yet they ushed you to help with your recovery.
Another group, of unusual folks, for some reason, were the respiratory techs. In intensive care and rehab, I saw them the most. They were keeping me alive and also helping me improve as much as possible. Aas I write this I am still on oxygen 18 months after my sickness and more that a year after being sent home.
